1. About Games Scale Up

Games Scale Up is a live online group coaching programme designed for indie game developers and studio founders. It is created and delivered by Player One Consulting Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales with company number 11314918, whose registered office is at Orchard Cottage, Ruscombe Lane, Ruscombe, Reading, RG10 9JT, UK.

The programme is personally delivered by Chris Bain PhD, founder and director of Player One Consulting Limited.

These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in the Games Scale Up Founding Cohort and form a binding agreement between you and Player One Consulting Limited. By purchasing a place on the programme, you agree to these terms.

 

2. The Programme

The Founding Cohort of Games Scale Up consists of nine live one-hour sessions delivered online via Kajabi, running across three weeks from 13th to 29th April 2026. Sessions take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 4pm BST.

The programme covers three core areas across three weekly modules:

  • Week 1: Strategy — vision, mission, values and growth strategy
  • Week 2: Finance and Operations — funding, business models, finances and operations
  • Week 3: Commercial Success — go-to-market planning, partnerships, licensing and international growth

Each session includes dedicated time for participant questions. Sessions are delivered in English.

Player One Consulting Limited reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to session content, order or timing where necessary, provided the overall scope and value of the programme is maintained.

 

3. Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of booking. No place is confirmed until payment has been received and processed.

The programme is available at the following prices:

  • Early bird price: ÂŁ697 (GBP) / $997 (USD) / €797 (EUR) — available until 31st March 2026
  • Full price: ÂŁ997 (GBP) / $1,297 (USD) / €1,097 (EUR) — applicable from 1st April 2026

Payment is accepted by major credit and debit card via the Kajabi platform.

Prices shown are exclusive of VAT and any other applicable local taxes.

By purchasing this programme, you confirm that you are doing so in the course of a business, trade or profession. Business customers based outside the United Kingdom are responsible for accounting for any VAT or equivalent taxes applicable in their own jurisdiction under the reverse charge or equivalent mechanism.

Where applicable, taxes will be calculated and displayed at checkout based on your location. Whilst we take reasonable steps to ensure accurate tax calculation at checkout, we do not warrant that the tax treatment applied will be correct in every jurisdiction. If you are uncertain about the tax treatment of your purchase, you should seek independent tax advice before completing your purchase.

4. Cancellation by Participant

You may cancel your place under the following conditions:

  • Full refund: Cancellations requested before the first session takes place will receive a full refund.
  • After the first session: No refund will be available once the first session has been delivered. This policy reflects the live and personalised nature of the programme.

To request a cancellation or refund, please email contact@playeroneconsulting.com with your name, studio name and the email address used to purchase. Refunds will be processed within 14 days.

If you are unable to attend one or more sessions, recordings will be made available to you via the Kajabi platform. No partial refund is available for missed sessions.

 

5. Cancellation or Rescheduling by Player One Consulting Limited

In the unlikely event that Player One Consulting Limited needs to cancel the programme prior to commencement, all participants will receive a full refund within 14 days.

If individual sessions need to be rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our control, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer a replacement session at an agreed alternative time. Recordings of all sessions will remain available to all participants regardless of rescheduling.

Player One Consulting Limited will not be liable for any costs incurred by participants as a result of cancellation or rescheduling, including but not limited to travel, accommodation or loss of earnings.

 

6. Recordings and Platform Access

All sessions will be recorded. Recordings will be made available to participants via the Kajabi platform within 48 hours of each session and will remain accessible for a minimum of 90 days following the final session.

Platform access is personal and non-transferable. Your login credentials must not be shared with third parties.

 

7. Confidentiality

Sessions may include real case studies drawn from Chris Bain’s 25+ years of business experience. Where these involve identifiable client situations, they will be shared either with that client’s permission or where the information is already in the public domain. Participants agree to treat any client-specific information shared in sessions as confidential and not to disclose it outside the programme.

Participants are also expected to treat information shared by other participants in live sessions as confidential. You agree not to disclose, share or reproduce information shared by other participants outside of the programme without their explicit consent.

 

8. Intellectual Property

All course materials, frameworks, tools and content provided as part of Games Scale Up remain the intellectual property of Player One Consulting Limited.

Materials are provided for the personal use of enrolled participants only. You may not reproduce, share, distribute, sell or otherwise make available any course materials to third parties without the prior written consent of Player One Consulting Limited.

You retain full ownership of any work, strategies or plans you develop as a result of your participation in the programme.

 

9. Code of Conduct

Games Scale Up is a professional learning environment. All participants are expected to engage respectfully with the coach and with each other.

Player One Consulting Limited reserves the right to remove any participant from the programme without refund if their behaviour is deemed disruptive, disrespectful or harmful to other participants or to the learning environment.

 

10. Limitation of Liability

The content delivered in Games Scale Up is based on the coach’s professional experience and is intended as educational and informational material. It does not constitute legal, financial, accounting or regulatory advice.

Player One Consulting Limited makes no guarantee of specific business outcomes as a result of participation in the programme. Results will vary depending on your individual circumstances, the nature of your business and the actions you take following the programme.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Player One Consulting Limited’s liability to any participant shall not exceed the amount paid by that participant for the programme.

 

11. Data and Privacy

Your personal data will be collected and processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and EU GDPR where applicable to participants based in the European Economic Area.

The lawful basis for processing your data is contractual necessity — we need your information to administer your participation in the programme and to deliver the services you have purchased.

Your data will be used to administer your participation, communicate with you about sessions and materials, and contact you about future programmes if you have consented to this. Your data will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law or where necessary to deliver the programme (for example, the Kajabi platform which hosts course content and processes payments).

You have the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting contact@playeroneconsulting.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are based in the UK, or your local supervisory authority if you are based in the EU.

Data collected during the programme will be retained for a period of three years following the end of the cohort, after which it will be securely deleted unless you have consented to ongoing contact.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
